Not a customer. A distribution channel.
The Austrian Federal Economic Chamber is the statutory representation of all Austrian businesses. Together with the Federal Chamber in Vienna and nine state chambers, it represents nearly 600,000 member businesses — from one-person operations to large corporations.
UNOY won a WKO tender and supplies the chamber in the expert services area on an exclusive basis. The platform is integrated into the Federal Economic Chamber Information System (WAIS) — the central member portal that every Austrian business can log into.
This means: UNOY isn’t software a customer bought. UNOY is the technical infrastructure through which the country’s largest business representation delivers digital expert services to its members — from legal advice and data protection to the electronic invoice.
Legal advisory. Compliance. EU obligations.
Legal advisory via UNOY
WKO delivers legal advisory to its members through UNOY. Not as a chatbot, not as a PDF — as a guided workflow with a legally well-founded result. Structured, traceable, scalable to 600,000 businesses.
Supervised Delivery
Data-protection assessment
The data-protection assessment was developed together with the Austrian Data Protection Authority. Businesses review their GDPR compliance — with a tool the supervisory authority helped shape.
Quasi-regulatory endorsement
Peppol — the electronic invoice
The EU obliges businesses to issue electronic invoices. Through UNOY, WKO enables its members to meet the Peppol requirements. Compliance-driven adoption — not a nice-to-have, an obligation.
EU obligation as adoption trigger
Every Austrian business has a WAIS account. UNOY is connected to it.
The Federal Economic Chamber Information System (WAIS) is the central member portal of WKO. Every business in Austria has access. Anyone who logs in finds their industry information, services and — since the connection to UNOY — digital expert services.
For UNOY this means: no marketing funnel, no lead generation, no cold-outreach problem. Distribution is built in. Every business that uses the WAIS portal has access to the UNOY-based services of the Federal Economic Chamber.

2 use cases — only UNOY can do this
What the WKO does is transferable to any chamber.
Chambers, associations and self-governing bodies all face the same challenge: they hold the expertise their members need — but they can’t scale it. Every new piece of regulation produces a thousand similar enquiries that all need essentially the same answer — tailored to each business.
The WKO shows that this is solvable. Regulatory competence is offered as a digital service — around the clock, at consistent quality, available to every member at once. Not as a PDF, not as a hotline — as a guided process that applies the expertise.
Labour chambers, medical chambers, notarial chambers, national chambers of commerce — everywhere regulatory knowledge needs to be brought to members at scale, the WKO model is the reference.
“600,000 businesses receive access to regulatory expertise via UNOY — from legal advice and data protection to the electronic invoice. This is not a pilot project. This is infrastructure.”
